How to make snowflakes out of paper? –step by step instructions
You will need:
- thin* paper
- scissors
- pencil
*choose thin sheets of paper as you will be cutting through as many as 8 layers of paper when folded three times
- Cut out a circle from the paper (squares will also work well),
- Fold the circle in half,
- Fold the circle in half again,
- Fold the base of your snowflake again (you will have 8 layers of paper after this step),
- You now have a shape that is 1/8th of your snowflake. Draw the outlines with a pencil – to start with, you may want to use one of the patterns below to make it easier,
- Cut out the pattern traced on the paper (red boxes on the template below) and carefully unfold the paper snowflake,
- The snowflake is ready! You can hang it or stick it on with double-sided adhesive tape.
