Are you afraid you don’t have enough time or manual skills to create the wrapping yourself from scratch? Or maybe you want a more elegant and chic visual effect? Decorative cloth bags are the answer !

How do you choose a bag to wrap your gift?

In addition to the size of the gift bag, it is worth paying attention to a few other features.

One of these is, of course, the colour. Choose the shade of the gift bag to match the profile of the recipient. For example, a red or pink gift bag for a woman, and a grey or dark blue bag for a man. Of course, linen or jute bags in natural shades of beige and brown will be universal. For very elegant gifts, you can also opt for classic black. For wedding and communion gifts, on the other hand, there is no better choice than white.
The second important feature is the transparency of the pouch. Semi-transparent organza pouches look extremely tasteful and delicate, but betray their contents. If you want to present a loved one with cash, but prefer not to let outsiders see what is in the pouch, choose a product made of an opaque material such as cotton, velour or satin.

What should you bear in mind when giving a gift in a bag?

If your gift is one of the heavier ones (e.g. a bottle of wine), remember to always hold the bag from the bottom. Do not move it by grabbing the ribbons. A heavy bottle can easily slip out of your hands and will also unsightly deform the bag itself. Similarly, hand it to the recipient – make sure they grip their gift firmly from underneath.

On the other hand, if you’re giving small jewellery in a bag, for example, make sure you tie it well. Thin chains can slip out of the wrapping if you move it around in the car seat or if you simply grab it upside down.

And most importantly – try not to get the pouch dirty! For example, place it in a plastic bag in your backpack or jacket pocket for transport. A tasteful pink satin bag will look messy if it falls on the windscreen wiper in the car or if you inadvertently touch the tailgate when you take the flowers out for the party. The bag will only impress the recipient if it looks impeccable!
