Souvenir album

A souvenir album doesn’t have to be just for storing photos! It is worth putting other types of memorabilia in it as well. You can put tickets, receipts, dried flowers or even small, flat souvenir goodies in the album.

Collage in a frame

Instead of hiding your souvenirs in an album, you can make a holiday collage of your memories of the trip and put it in a frame or glass case. This collage can include photos of your trip, postcards, tickets to tourist attractions, airline tickets, seashells, dried flowers. It will certainly make a beautiful and original wall decoration.

Storing holiday souvenirs – a box of memories

This type of storage is a bit like collecting souvenirs at the bottom of a drawer or in a cardboard box? Nothing could be further from the truth. The memory box is already designed to organise our goodies. You can choose a model equipped with functional compartments or place your keepsakes in elegant fabric bags. Any organised collection will look great in such a beautiful setting, and the box itself can also be a decoration. This is well known as a method of storing childhood memorabilia. Instead of the toddler’s treasures, the decorative box can be used to place all sorts of goodies that bring back memories of the holiday.

Souvenirs in a jar – a jar of memories?

Another idea is an interesting variation on the theme of a memory box. Instead of a box, we use a bottle or glass jar to create a decorative composition of holiday souvenirs in it. The transparent walls of the vessel allow it to be displayed on a shelf. An original idea is to “enclose in a jar” a particular place (by placing in it, for example, sand, water and local air)

You can create a jar like this on every trip or add souvenirs from subsequent trips to it. In such a jar you can collect e.g. sand, shells, small figurines, stones brought back from holidays (it is worth writing on them with a waterproof marker the date and the name of the place from which they were brought). Creating such a collection costs practically nothing and the end result looks really great.

What to keep the seashells in? You can use the seashells, pebbles, etc. you collected on your trip for a variety of DIY projects! By choosing these kinds of souvenirs you will save triple – you won’t spend money on the souvenirs themselves, you will save money on the materials for your handicrafts and, of course, on the home decorations themselves!
